Campaign and Candidate Philosophy:
We have an opportunity to rebuild a healthier state and nation with empathy and understanding.
In order to do so, we will have to bring our collective power to bear in shaping a Connecticut which no longer seeks first to serve the interests of billion-dollar corporations and the top 1% of our state’s wealthiest residents; but instead exclusively serves the people.
We need our elected representatives to organize and to lead, to engage in constituent services and write and pass competent legislation which serves all people in our district and in our state. The ability of families to afford to put food on the table, afford necessary medications, and provide care and education for their children often relies on the decisions and actions (or, inactions) of our state’s representatives.
However, currently too many of our state representatives focus on austerity and privatization, which almost exclusively serves those at the very top of the socioeconomic ladder. Austerity budgeting practices and privatization of public services must be rejected and replaced with robust constituent services and investment in vital public services.
A focus on basic fairness, especially for those who work to fulfill our most important and vital needs, is far too often missing from the decisions of our state’s decision-makers. State Representatives who vote in favor of austerity for hard-working families and for privatization of public services while seeking no balance, no fairness, and no progressive model of revenue generation, must be replaced.

As your state Representative, I will provide robust constituent services, demand justice for all in our state’s laws, seek equity in our state’s budgets, deliver state resources for our needed public services, and support well-paid employment opportunities for people in Waterford, Montville, and Connecticut.
